SERVINGS: 9 servings
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
- 8-ounce container Mascarpone cheese (use at room temperature)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ cups cold Santa’s White Christmas coffee
- 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 packages ladyfingers (Savoiardi brand can be found in the cookie aisle at your local retailer or online)
- Cocoa powder for dusting the top (we used Hershey’s cocoa powder)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add whipping cream to a mixing bowl and beat on medium speed with electric mixers. Slowly add the sugar, and vanilla and continue to beat until stiff peaks form. Add mascarpone cheese and mix just until combined. Set aside.
- Add coffee to a shallow bowl. Dip the ladyfingers in Santa's White Christmas coffee. Don’t soak them, just quickly dip on both sides to get them wet. Lay them in a single layer on the bottom of an 8x8 or similar size pan.
- Smooth half of the mascarpone cream over the top. Repeat layers until all the ladyfingers are gone and the final layer is mascarpone and on top.
- Dust cocoa powder generously over the top. Refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours or up to overnight before serving.
MAKE AHEAD & FREEZING INSTRUCTIONS:
Tiramisu is even better when made in advance, allowing all the flavors to really soak in. It will remain fresh in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
ADD ALCOHOL:
Tiramisu can be made with or without alcohol. This recipe could include 3 tablespoons of your favorite Kahlua or DaVinci brands. You can also use options like brandy or marsala wine.
USE LADYFINGERS AS A NUMBER ASSIGNMENT FOR PRESCHOOL:
Tiramisu is made with ladyfinger cookies which can be used as number counters. Our little helper today decided to play with the leftover pieces to make a house and learn his numbers during recipe prep time.
